Library marks 40th Anniversary

Friends of the Library is holding a special event Wednesday to celebrate its 40th anniversary in conjunction with the first Brown Bag concert of the summer season.

In addition to providing cookies, FOL is giving away to a few lucky patrons some children’s books as well as tote bags for adults with gift certificates for the next library sale in October.

The event is at the Emporia Public Library, 110 E. Emporia Public Library will host a Brown Bag concert every Wednesday with different fun events scheduled for the entire family through July 17.
