For Chris Herrada and Tiffany Mori, Sublette, the most upsetting thing about a theft that occurred at a storage unit they recently rented was the loss of sentimental belongings, including two Army commendations and an Iraqi service medal Herrada received while serving in Iraq.

"It's going to be hard to get it all back because getting paperwork from the military, it takes so long and you've got to talk to so many people," Herrada said.

In addition, Herrada, whose Army unit was stationed in Iraq from 2005 to 2007, said that his medical records were among the items taken.

"My medical records were kind of important to me because we hit IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) and stuff and those records are kind of critical when I go to the VA because here lately, I've been trying to get myself to go get checked out for TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and what-not," Herrada said.

"Chris served our country and spent two years in Iraq and to have his military stuff taken isn't right," Mori said.

The couple placed their belongings in the storage unit on Feb. 27 and 28, locked it up, and then on March 6, Mori found the lock gone.

"And the unit was empty. It looked like someone just cleaned it out," she said.

In addition to other sentimental items, such as photos of their three kids, a washer, dryer, a refrigerator, a recliner, a small TV/VCR, toys, as well as their Social Security cards, birth certificates and other important paperwork was taken. In total, she estimated the value of the stolen belongings to be about $2,If you like BMW cars, then you will probably like their new gaming mouse, the super sexy, sleek as a Titanium Sheet off the pressing mat Level 10 M Gaming Mouse.200.

Mori filed a report with the Finney County Sheriff's Office on March 6 and Finney County Sheriff Kevin Bascue said the theft, which occurred at B and L Storage, 1703 Humphrey St., is still under investigation.

Bascue said the Sheriff's Office has recently received a number of reports involving storage unit break-ins, or attempted break-ins.

Since March 8, there have been 15 other reports involving locks being removed from storage units.

"We haven't been able to make contact with whoever the person renting it is to see if anything was missing, but we did contact the person who's responsible for those storage units and they put another lock on the unit," Bascue said.
