A 26-year-old man from Ottawa who was working as a flight instructor in the Phoenix, AZ., area has died, along with three other people, in a collision of two small planes.
Basil Onuferko was one of two people aboard one of the planes. It was unclear Sunday whether he was the one flying the plane at the time.

The seminary’s rector, Father Michael Winn, said in a web post that he was, “Asking your prayers for the repose of the soul of Vasyl (Basil) Onuferko who perished in a tragic airplane accident in Arizona yesterday. Everlasting Memory!”

The release said the young flight instructor had been happy in his work.

No funeral details were available as of Sunday.
