Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has had a rough go of it over the last eight months.

Following an organized team activity in early May, Sanchez entered the Jets' locker room here wearing a thin, green headband—a sight that inspired snickers from reporters, opened him up to ribbing from teammates and swept through social media like a cold through a kindergarten class. Photos of Sanchez—his curly black hair slicked back and held out of his eyes by the headband—showed up on national sports websites and blogs. Wide receiver Jeremy Kerley—who after the team's Wednesday minicamp session wore a gray, bandana-like headband that covered his entire scalp—said Sanchez's "is kind of funny looking. I always get on him. 'I don't know why you got that thing on, man. Take it off.' It's his swag, though, man. If it work for him, it work for him." 

That is exactly the attitude Sanchez should have, regardless of people's reaction to the headbands, according to longtime fashion designer Sal Cesarani.
